Ahmose presents – The Bellydance Showcase at The Barzarre in Wilmington, NC

The Barzarre is at 1612 Castle Street in Wilmington – Showtime is 9:00pm
$10 at the Door

November 14th 3:30-5:30pm
Mixed level zill workshop with something for all levels. Zills are useful to express emotion, enhance your movement and create a fluid transition or surprising change. The workshop will focus on 2 rhythms and patterns to incorporate along with some drills and games to make it all fun.
The beginner will learn the basic patterns and get an idea of the rhythm structure. The returning and advanced ziller will add to their skills with more variations and sound recognition. Learn to work with the music and add to your dance.
This will begin a series of workshops to approach your zill skills from various ways and enhance your skills. Phoenix is bringing back the “So You Think You Can Zill” and “Rhythm Series” with a few fun additions and twist. As we move forward, we will bring in a live drummer to add to the fun in future workshops.
Dancers and non-dancers are welcome to join. All styles are also welcome as the music portion will not be stylized. This is applicable to all styles of bellydance. Dancers will be given combos. Zills are available to borrow. Teachers – sign up as a group with at least 4 students and get your workshop for free.
Get ready to be a zillin’ villain!
